Wow – a product that works
I have a 9 month old golden doodle that has destroyed (chewing) my living room furniture. She’s chewed all decorative pillow corners & now the actual sofa arms. Bought this Bitter no chew & hot spot spray Lenongrass . I bought because of reviews & it’s been an awesome product. This has a very strong smell difficult to explain the smell – not bad – not great/ sort off cheap cologne but tones down after a day. This is highly bitter, additionally, open windows when u spray it. The atomized spray will get into your nose, rear throat , it’s wicked. Now, my doodle will chew anything that she can grab & destroy it. Example many pairs of shoes. So I took the un chewed leftover rubber crock shoe & sprayed it.( if it’s rubber she can’t resist it) I sprayed it & put it on an ottoman where she would be able to take it! I sprayed all pillow corners, arms of sofa that she continues to chew! Guess what no more chewing. I saw her try to chew one of the recently sprayed area & the look & negative reaction was priceless. ( I really enjoyed watching her negative reaction- it was priceless-my bad, but still priceless). Well it’s been two days & the crock shoe is still on the ottoman & she hasn’t touched it or any of the previously chewed spots. I took a leftover pillow that hadn’t been chewed sprayed & put it where she could chew or grab it. Well, she’s left it alone. Finally a product that works. It doesn’t take much to be effective. The scent isn’t bad except initially. No more chewing & destroying things! I gave the scent 5 stars not because it’s awesome scent but because I believe the strong scent help deter the dog , along with the horrid bitter taste.

Works for our peeing pup
We use it to discourage our pomeranian from peeing in the house and on the patio. It works as long as we remember to refresh it every so often. I don’t know about whether it works for cats, as has been discussed here. The product label plainly says its for dogs and puppies. There is no mention of cats.

Did the job for my three year old Shih tzu
Although housebroken, dog occasionally wees in house. Not a medical issue. This product keeps him from doing that. I don’t smell anything when sprayed on floor or wall. Drawback is that the nozzle will sometimes clog up. In that case I just wipe the spray hole with my finger & it’s back functioning. I would recommend the product.

It kind of works but mostly its just ‘okay’
I might have to leave an updated review in the future in case anything changes, but for now its just 3 solid stars. That doesn’t mean that I regret buying it, quite the contrary. It just means that I wish it were stronger and more effective. Look, I get it…they have to be careful not to create a product that harms dogs and leaves themselves liable in case some knucklehead dog owner doesn’t use it properly and then tries to hold them responsible (why take accountability in reading instructions when you can simply blame someone else? welcome to America!!!)PROs:-It definitely made my dog wince a bit each time I sprayed it on his leash and even when I sprayed a little bit into his mouth. YES, you CAN spray into his mouth… that is EXACTLY what dog trainers recommend. They tell you to spray a little bit into your dog’s mouth so he understands that it tastes terrible, and then your dog needs to see you spraying it on the leash or area you want him to stop chewing. That way he will put two and two together and associate the horrible experience in his mouth with the area he should avoid. Ideally that will lead him to NOT chew on that area! (if only the world were that easy)- The bottle is pretty big. Much more solution then I expected!- The stuff does actually work a little bit…it made my dog take notice (but he did still bite on the leash while we trained him to get used to the new invisible dog fence we installed)CONs- not too many cons other than it needs to be a little more stronger for bigger dogs like my larger black lab. (maybe offer TWO versions? one for smaller dogs and one for bigger??? who knows)- its going to take repetition and practice to make this work. Dogs are stubborn and resilient…two characteristics that help them survive but also super frustrating to work with. You MUST make this process a daily routine to change your dog’s behavior. If you think this is just something where you can just spray a ton of it on an area and be done with it then you should not buy this. If your dog is chewing on something its a behavior that needs to stop and this is just one of the tools to help you in changing his behavior through repetition to instill a more desired behavior. (channeling my inner Cesar Milan here but its true)Hope this helps. Again, not a bad product at all. Just not yet deserving of more stars at this point…but I will edit if anything changes. PS. I actually caught a bunch of this in my own mouth while spraying it in the wind. WARNING: DON’T spray it in the wind!!! It tastes effing HORRIBLE!!!! So if you are trying to train a human…this is MORE than strong enough.

So far So good!
Wow! I was very skeptical at first, because you constantly see things like this marketed that completely don’t work however, this is stopped our teething puppy from chewing on her leash, her harness, my couch, and all of our furniture! her face when she has tried to go and bite anything is complete and utter disgust so it seems like it’s doing something. It doesn’t smell horrendous, but I did accidentally get some in my mouth and can say that it does taste like bug spray. Overall, so far, it’s money well spent! I’d much rather buy a few bottles of this than a new table!

Puppy likes to lick after it has been sprayed on furniture
Puppy likes to lick it when sprayed on furniture but does stop chewing on furniture for a short period of time. Does not have an extended time period for effect. Puppy will chew the same area within 2-3 hours.

Not that effective
I have been having an ongoing issue with my young dog that is having urinary issues. We are treating with urine acidifiers but she is still having accidents. I bought this to help combat the fact that she urinates at the same spot on my carpet everytime. It has not helped in stopping her from urinating in the same spot even though I use a specified urine carpet cleaner and follow up with this spray. Not worth it.

Overwhelming smell
Seems to work BUT good grief I understand they use special oils to obviously deter dogs and what not but my house after I spray this stuff smells like moth balls and what I can only say is like an old persons home. Very pungent and def leave windows open until the smell dissipates a little. Ooh. But it does seem to work so I suppose if the chewing is bad enough worth suffering through.

My parents recommended it.
Used “Not Here” for 3 weeks on training our Basenji puppy. He never went it in the same spot after treating it and in the last 6 days he hasn’t gone potty in the house once. We also used the “Go Here” spray in conjunction with installing a doggie door. Set them up for success and have patience and they will succeed! Thanks dad!!

Not sure I would buy again!
It didn’t seem to bother my bully at all. I sprayed on an outdoor mat. twenty minutes later I found most of it in pieces. So we are trying it again. Only this time I am going to use more product, let it dry and spray again, let it dry and then put it out for our dog. I swear this dog will eat anything. So I need to wait but I would like to follow up in a few days.

Good Product
This is a good product you just need to be careful where you spray it. My pup was peeing on the leg of my dining room table and when I sprayed the leg some of the paint came off so now I spray the area on the floor and not the dining room table seems to be working but just wanted to let you know how the product is working for me.

BE CAREFUL
I went ahead and sprayed this all over my furniture and curtains but I instantly regretted it. The scent is so strong I can taste it. It’s so bitter, and making my eyes hurt. I didn’t even spray that much! Currently airing out my apartment. Can’t say whether or not it’s effective or not but definitely not worth it so far. Too strong

Smells like very strong sour apple
It works for our puppy who likes to chew on things while teething. I do have to spray 1 spritz daily for now to keep him away from things he’s not supposed to. It does smell strong. My air filter goes in full mode every time I use it. I just open some windows and sliding door at the back and the smell is not as bothersome after a few minutes.I’m put up with the sour smell anytime versus a chewed up power cord.

It’s OK
i was curious to try this after reading reviews… not impressed, the spray only works for a few mins and wears off so my pup is at it again a fee hours later. Ive used other brands that are better like the rocco & roxie no chew spray.

Product is just ok
This worked for my pup in the beginning but as he got used to it the biting started again. The smell is a bit strong and becomes overwhelming, as soon as you spray you have to move out of the spot you sprayed or you will begin to taste it in your mouth. I wouldn’t reorder but it was good while it lasted.

smelled pretty good
The smell was great, thank goodness it didn’t stink using it in the house, and it was easy to use. The stream of spray was wide enough to cover a good area without just soaking everything near. BUT, it didn’t really work for us. Our dogs went right back to the same spots over and over again.

Didn’t work for us
I didn’t find the scent very strong or unpleasant. While she was outside I sprayed it on the jute rug my puppy sometimes likes to chew on. Once I sprayed some sections that were sticking out and tempting her, I let her back in. She lifted her nose, sniffed, then beelined straight for the sections I sprayed like I’d sprayed it with a meat spray and started chewing. Definitely not the desired effect, so back it went.

Not Really Effective
Our 7 month old puppy has been chewing our front door frame so we thought we would try this spray. We first introduced it to her by spraying it in her mouth and then showing her us spraying it on the door frame. She didn’t like it in her mouth so we figured it would work. After using this everyday for several weeks I can confidently say that our door frame is shredded to pieces and this product doesn’t work on our puppy. I don’t blame the product, I blame our puppy. Our other dog does not like the smell or taste of this product but our puppy doesn’t seem to mind having extra flavor to the wood. Product doesn’t work for us but may work for you. We just need something much stronger and bitter tasting.

WORKS but constantly need to reapply and quite expensive
This product is amazing. It does what it says it does. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last other reviews are right you have to continue to reapply. It is frustrating as well as it is expensive! So I had to really work on potty training and kennel training has no attorneys because I can’t afford to continue buying this product all the time.

Would not buy again for my pup
This spray worked good for maybe a few days. My dog initially refrained from going near it, then became accustomed to the smell/taste and began completely ignoring it. This may have just been my dog’s reaction to it though. Another problem was that it started taking the stain off my wood chairs. I had to stop using it

Doesn’t really work with puppy
This is easy enough to use but doesn’t seem to work with my puppy on all things. This works better on hard surfaces like a chair leg, much less so on soft surfaces like area rugs. My puppy is small but a strong chewer. Unless I can spray the whole house, she continues to do some damage despite using this. Perhaps I don’t use it enough because it came highly recommended from a friend.

Inferior spray bottle
This product is fantastic, but I have to give it 3 stars because the spray mechanism failed after about a dozen small sprays. Now I have to pour out the product instead of spraying it which obviously makes it less cost efficient. Hopefully the manufacturer of this product will change bottle vendors to one that manufactures a better, more reliable spray mechanism.

Spray Repellant Works Well But Package Wrong
The dog repellant spray works well but the type of packaging is wrong. You can only get a couple of sprays out of the bottle if you are holding it horizontal to spay a rug. Needs a spray bottle that can spray horizontal. It does work well as a dog repellent to aid in puppy house training, but the inability of the bottle to spray more than a few sprays is frustrating.

Works even on the most stubborn dogs
This product is not only for puppies, my dog is 3 years old and beyond stubborn so we sprayed the yard focusing only on areas where we do not want him to pee and it worked. My dog has urinated on the same tree for 3 years (right next to our outdoor eating area) and he no longer does it. We hated the smell of urine while we had barbeques and we no longer smell urine as he urinates far from our outdoor eating areas

Great product
I have a little Morkie who just turned 2yrs old. He has been part of my family since he turned 9months old and was very good about using the pee pads, or outside, for his bathroom needs. However, he started using the dining room or bedroom rug for his needs. I had tried a couple of products with absolutely no success. His trainer suggested this product, Bodhi Not Here spray. I was surprised how well it worked. He would start sniffing the rug to choose his spot, I would tell him NO, then he would go to his pad and do his business. In the beginning I went through a bit as I needed to spray the rug 2 or 3 times a day for it to continue working. That is my only negative criticism of this project. Now if I observe him, or one of my other pups, checking the rugs out, I spray that rug. They then walk away from that area. I highly recommend this product. It may take a bottle or two for your fur baby to get the message but they will with the help of Not Here spray.

Spraying this on something is a sure fire way to stop my puppy from chewing on it so on that front, I would recommend this.I will say that I went a little trigger happy the first time I used it. Needless to say that it you inhale some you will be smelling and tasting it for a while

We use it for our puppy who is teething and when her toys aren’t enough she likes going after our slippers or the socks on our feet. We simply spray our slippers and she is instantly deterred from chewing on them. The scent is pretty strong but after a few minutes it goes away.

Don’t take this review to heart, it could just be my dog…
I purchased this product to try and get my 5 month old German Shepherd to stop using my couch as a personal chew toy. I followed the directions and sprayed the areas she particularly enjoyed chewing on and hoped for the best. I waited and watched. The first time she went back to the spot that had been treated, her ears kind of perked up a bit when the smell hit her nose and she tentatively gave it a lick. I couldn’t tell if the taste bothered her too much, but when she then proceeded to chew on it, I felt pretty defeated. Not sure how this works on other peoples dogs, for mine however, it isn’t even a slight deterrent. But then, we’re also talking about a dog who enjoys the crunch delicacy of cat turds from the litter boxes, shoes that most people would consider too stinky to keep around and numerous other foul things, so yeah, don’t use my review to make your choice on, but know that it apparently doesn’t work for all dogs.
